Thank you Bridesmaid!!

My definition of BRIDESMAID: Pretty & Sweet little Angels that are on your side whenever, wherever you need them during your wedding day!! How can we brides live without them??!!!

My wedding is such a success..all thanks to the bridesmaid that helped ensure all is in order..before, during and after the wedding. Haa...such nice people! Luv them all!!

Here's a little gift for them:-

Err..for those that already taken the jee mui photo, I have added an extra one for you as each will have a different thank you message :) So, do keep it laaa...don't throw away yaa!!!

Our Wedding Dinner!!

At last! The day is here! The final moments...all the preparations, anxiousness to this big day is finally coming to an end! Thank god everything worked out perfectly as how I wanted it to be :)

Endless compliments from guests on the food and deco, really made me a Happy Bride of the day! Not to mention the sight of familiar faces, and friendly smiles.

Photographer Lawrence Ng did a fantastic job compiling the Tea Ceromony DVD capturing all the essential moments! MUA Cathy made me a cool hairdo which goes well with my favourite WG from GTC!! The Wishing Tree was filles with wishing cards...and the Wedding Cake from Choffles melted my heart...when I saw the sugar-crafting of my beloved doggies, Betsy!!

We marched in around 2040, with Flower Girls leading the way...and *supposedly* sprinkling rose petals from their little basket. Our march-in song, "Everything" by Michael Bubble was played, followed by the first dish presentation, with the song "Sway" by Michael Bubble as well.

At the end of the dinner, we gathered to take a photo of all family members! More than 30 of us, and thanks to Lawrence, for accomodating many last and ad-hoc requests! Really, a good photographer that I would recommend to all brides-to-be!

27th Morning

I could hardly open my eyes! It was 0615 and MUA Cathy will be at my house at 0630. Zzzzz....a small nap easily took 15 minutes and MUA has arrived! Gosh! I sprang out of bed and quickly brushes my teeth and took a shower while MUA prepares her tools.

OOoops, I have forgotten to VEET myself and asked Cathy if she could spare me another 5-10 minutes in the shower!

Around 7am, the makup started! Although it was a bit heavy for morning session, I told MUA not to worry...am sure it will be ok :) In my mind... "Hmm...where is Lawrence? Could he be lost finding my house?" ( I am "supposed" to email him the map to my house...*ahem*...supposed to laa) When dearest Betsy was barking, I knew it was Lawrence! Yay! He is here!!

Lawrence was clicking away! My gown, shoes, etc, etc. Betsy somehow doesn't like him..hehe! From the way he take pictures, I knew I found the RIGHT guy to be my photographer for the day! :)

0845..I called my bf to enquire his location...apprently, he and 4 of his "Heng Tais" are having wan tan mee breakfast! After a quick conversation, I told him NOT to come down from the car until my nephew opened the door for him! Hehe...afraid that he will just open the door himself!

As I was hiding in the room, I missed out the games that they played outside. Entrusting my jee muis not to bully my boyfriend, I could only wish I have a pair of telescope that enables me to view the happenings outside! When he and his entourage finally passed through the barricade...he has one last task outside my room door. He was to recite a romantic poem for me..of course, it was written for him! When he read the first few lines, I shouted that "It was so UNLIKE him..." Hehe. He then, ditched the pre-prepared poem, and recited a few lines of his own...which, of course, sends shivers to my spine!!

The door was finally opened! He came in with a bouquet in his hand and lift up my veil. A kiss on the cheek, and then, on the lips...and slowly, we walked out of the room! My brother on my left, hubby on the right...they both escorted me to the car! We are supposed to go for a "ride"..a short one, to symbolise me returning to the groom's house and back!

Finally, the tea ceremony for my dearest mum and all relatives...

Nightmare on Jalan Belibis

Indeed it is. There is no ELM Street in Malaysia, but hey, nightmares do happen at Jalan Belibis.

It has been two (2) consecutive nights. With only a few more days to go, I am having sleepless nights. I even dreamt about the wedding day.

It was raining non-stop and the whole place was flooded. The water was rising so quickly, and everyone was running for shelter. My wedding gown was wet, and I was running with my sis, my mum, etc to search for shelter! Water, water, everywhere!! My hair was wet, my makeup all ruined...I shouted to the people.."Can we postpone this wedding? Maybe do it another time?" Everyone was shocked, and I hear a voice.."Err...if you postpone, NONE of us will be able to make it as we have no more annual leaves" Geeez! ANNUAL LEAVE?

And hey, I woke up!

Tick tock tick tock. It was 8am already. Wow, time flies. My bf and his entourage will arrive any moment now! WHERE THE HECK is my MUA? Where is Lawrence, my photographer? Yikes! I hear the horns! Beeet beeet...booop booop...(something like that laa) And gosh! I am NOT ready yet! HELLPPPPPPPP!

Aiks, woke up again!

Wahliaoo...some people say, it is cause I am too "stress" over the wedding. Some said, "Wei, maybe you still not ready ga". I guess it is just a normal thing...too excited, I guess.

Anyhow, can't wait for the day to come :)

My Digital Photo from DeCasamia

I went to Casamia today to have a final body measurement and to select my bridal bouquet as well as the car deco colours. As usual, they showed me another selection of bridal bouquet which I need to "top up" $$ if I choose them! How smart of them! Luckily, I am smarter by not falling into their trap! Hehe! The ones included in my package is equally nice and lovely!

I asked them if my album was ready.."Oh, not yet". However, they are able to provide me with a CD so that I can use them first! Ok...7 days more and I have this CD. What am I gonna do with it? Should I publish them in Facebook? Should I upload in my blog? Yes, no, yes, no, .....

I have decided to keep it until the album is ready. Otherwise, there will be no more surprises. However, one thing that really surprises me was the photos. There are 3 different versions of me. I looked at the photo one by one...and of course, I can recognise it as myself. But, the one which we took it outdoor...wow, it looked like another girl. Actually, this was what I brought up to Casamia, I thought they did too much touch up....but when they showed me the real untouched photo...it looked the same! Aiya...so, it is the hair and make up. Yup, this is confirmed by the MUA whom said that the Audrey Hepbhurn hairstyle and make up really give me a different look! And this reminds me of the night after the last outdoor shooting, I went home with my makeup and hairstyle...my aunt said, she would not be able to recognise me if she sees me on the street!

Yeahh...it was THAT different!
And gee, this is the hairstyle I'm gonna do on 27th morning. Hmm..must tell my MUA to take it easy on the makeup then! So, here's a sneak peek of the photo of me and my sweetie...for those who know me..I am sure you will agree!

As to why we choose this picture, well..we reckoned that since it was so much hardwork and sweat and mosquito bites at Ulu Yam...we have to choose some outdoor pictures or else, our efforts will be wasted. Yeap, all the outdoor photos have this girl above which, I could not recognise myself too! Hehe! But on the other hand, this is the magic work of art and makeup! Just hope that I won't lose my memory one day and accused my husband of taking picture with another bride! Haha!

The rest of the pictures?? Luv 'em :) and can't wait to get the album!

7 days to go..

How time flies! I will be moving out of this house, away from my mum & sis, away from my Betsy to begin a new life. As I was packing my things little by little, can't help but to feel a little sad. There will no longer be morning kisses from my Betsy, home cooked meal 24x7 and almost everything taken care of by my mum. And oh, will miss those "nagging" from my sis

After 7 days, it will be waking up next to my sweetie, and morning kisses from him. Yes, I do look forward to start a new life with him. It has been soo many years! Although I have to clean the house, and cook (a little) and wash the clothes (thank god we agreed to use landry services)...it would be a total new experience to see the same person when you open your eyes in the morning and close them at night.

After this wedding, the next task is to of course, as expected by everyone around you, to *ahem* build a generation of new Wongs. Tick tock tick tock!

The Perfect Teapot

I admit that I can be a pain in the a**...sometime. Fussy. Darn Fussy. I don't go for perfection, at least, I don't think I do, but certain things...has to be done MY way. MY choice. MY selection.

Both my mum and I has been searching for the right Chinese Wedding Teapot for weeks now. Initially, I saw a set that I really liked, but it was sold off after we went back to the shop. We didn't buy it initially cuz I wanted to see more options :P

So, there we go. Less than a week..I still have not find THE teapot.

Finally, mum puts pressure on me BIG TIME. "Aiyo...can you don't be so "im jim"??" She brought me to this shop and asked the lady boss to show me few samples of the teapot. My comments, well..erm..too small, too big, old-fashioned, ugly design, colour not nice, etc, etc. *AHEM*

Due to time constraint, I have no choice but to pick this particular set. Seems to me, the "best" looking teapot amongst them all. After taking a picture and look at it many times, it looks ok to me now. Can do laaa....

DIY Wrist Corsage

This is my 2nd attempt. After putting it on to one of my bridesmaid hand, it looked kinda pretty. :) I have done up two designs based on different flowers. I have decided to use artificial flowers as it serves two (2) main purposes:-
1. Can be wear anytime and not risk rotting
2. Bridesmaid can keep it for rememberance, if they want to

Not bad! It looked nice in the pics below, but the real thing...is darn "fake" ler...hmmmm....

Can you guess who's beautiful hand in the picture above? Not mine lar, of course..

Trip To Penang

Since it's a holiday on Monday, 8th Dec 2008..I have decided to make a short trip to Penang to personally deliver the wedding card to my relatives! A little troublesome, yes..but it is once in a lifetime thing...how difficult can it be? Furthermore, I miss the char koey teow as Lorong Selamat!

Our plan was to leave KL early morning on Saturday and hope to reach Penang by noon. Plan, that is. We can plan, yes, but it is someone "up there" whom decide.

My poor Betsy was vomitting and sleepless the whole night, I decided to take her to the vet on Saturday morning instead. The vet, Dr Siva confirmed she has stomach upset and bloody stool. She will need to stay overnight at the hospital and will be dripped. :( They wil conduct some tests on her, and will keep my updated on her progress.

I left my poor dog with a heavy heart and headed home. Can't help but cried upon reaching home as my mum & sis asked me about Betsy's condition. "I am sure she will be ok"...my mum assures me.

We continued packing our things to the car and headed to PG. I wanted so much to stay, but at the same time, I need to deliver the invites as well. I told mum that, if my Betsy is critical, we will deliver the invites and leave PG the same day.

The journey was horrible. It took us 6 hours ++ to reach PG. The traffic was heavy all the while!! But the good news is...my Betsy was fine :) The vet needs her to stay in for another night, to ensure that she is ok. Phew!! Now, I can enjoy my PG trip.

ROM 09012009

Apart from the fact that we need 21 days from the date of application to have our ROM done at Putrajaya, we have to look at the list of couples for the day. The JPN at Putrajaya only accepts 15 couples a day, and they don't ROM on Thursday, Saturday and Sunday. Errrm...shucks! All dates are full before 27th Dec. Asked the officer over and over again, he can't accomodate us in.

How about 14th Feb 2009? Ooops, it falls on a Saturday. JPN's rest day.

So, I left it to my bf to choose the date. He picked 9th Jan 2009, Friday net year. *thinking* Errm, why 9th of Jan haa? He told me, well...the number 9 is excellent for wedding, number 1 is good as well..so, combination of 09012009 is our ROM date!

Wahh...like that also can arr...how about 09092009 then? Isn't it better? :D Just kidding!!

So, agreed, we booked that date! Signed and submitted the form. Before signing off, the officer remind us to be honest about each other's status, that we are single, never married before, etc, etc...or else, if found to be untrue...we will be fined RM 3,000/=.

What? RM 3,000/= ONLY? Imagine deceiving someone's love and trust...and you only pay RM 3,000 fine? Unbelievable!!

Anyway, now that our ROM is AFTER our wedding dinner, I am sure it would not be as excited before. I am also not sure if any of my friends will be able to join me as the date is after a long stretch of holidays and they might not be able to apply leave in the new year.

Will see. :)

Who's the groom?

I gave a call to one of my old classmate to invite him to my wedding. He was in KK and was surprised to receive my call, as we hardly kept in touch and only meet during friend's wedding, etc. Married with a wonderful wife and blessed with a few kids...he was really surprised!

After few chats, there was a small moment of silent when I told him that I am getting married! "So, you have finally decided to settle down? You have done all your thinking carefully haa!!!" And when I mentioned my bf's name...he was laughing away! He told me that he was unsure if the groom was still the same old one!! Of course laa, I told him and we both laughed! He told me, at one point, he was wondering, who's the groom!

See, we have been out of touch THAT long!

My other close friend, or should I say, my aiya-brother...will be flying in from Shanghai on Saturday morning to attend my wedding. Wah! How nice of him. But then, we are such close friends that I will fly to Shanghai personally to strangle him if he doesn't attend my wedding! Hehe...just kidding!

So, great! Looking forward to see them on my wedding day!

Papa, I am getting married!!!

It was raining, and the roads are slippery and wet. We brought along teh tarik kurang manis, curry mee, oranges and most importantly, my wedding biscuits! Mum found a good spot, and we placed all your favourite food on the table. With a josstick each, we climbed up to the 3rd floor. (if I have the $$, I would donate to this temple so that they can build an escalator and everyone, young & old can go to any floors they want)

I opened up the little glass door..and CH officially inform you that we are getting married soon! "Papa, if he treats me unwell, please knock him on his head at night!!" Hehe!

Can he hear us? Is he there? Does he know?

I wish he was and I wish he could.

How time flies, it has been 8 years since you left and I still missed you so much. I still remember the little talk you had with CH at a cafe at Yaohan, The Mall. You told him to take good care of me, and to shower me with love and affection...he was a "little" shocked (well...mind you, we just started 2b a serious couple then) and then realised, how important I was to you.

Well, papa...CH heeded your message until today and I have decided to spend the rest of my life with him. Yes, we are getting married this 27th Dec 2008.

Finally :)

My Wedding Cake

After much dee-lee-daa-laaa and endless search over the internet, I have finally confirmed my wedding cake with Choffles! Their prices are non-negotiable, and is fixed regardless of designs. Two-tiers priced at RM 690/= while three-tiers priced at RM 1,100/=. Exclude cake topper, which you have to add on $$ depending on the designs...but generally, will cost RM 100/= more. I have selected a cutie bride & groom, and asked for a special add-on...my Betsy! The chef charges an extra RM20/= for this! All in, the cake cost RM 810/=...and this is a special wedding gift from my dearest dearest mum!! *muah* Luv her so much!!

Mum insist on buying it as she know I would LUV it so much! She wanted to buy me a gift that I would truly love and happy about! She said that, she can see I love the cake so much more compared to the jewelleries she bought for me...hehe. And not forgetting how my eyes gleam with happiness when the chef agrees to customise Betsy as my cake topper! Hehe! See, my mum really understands me :) Truly, my best friend of all time!!

Below are some of the contacts and my personal, opinion about them:-
1) http://www.isabellakek.com/
Sounds like a Malay cake shop, but was surprised that contact person was Ms Penny Gan. Pricing are reasonable, quoted me less than RM 700/= for a THREE tier, with my own design! Actually I made up my mind to order with them, but when I planned to drop by to their shop..there was simply no answer! I did inform Ms Penny on my intention (err..to at least, taste some of the cake) and that I shall be able to meet her around 3pm...but she was a little reluctant and told me to call in before hand as she might be "busy" running around. So...called, and no answer...too bad!

2) http://www.cherylshuen.com/
Ms Pei Shuen was a friendly gal. Liked her instantly when talking to her over the phone! Her cakes are fabulous! Too bad she is actually located in Singapore. Unless I am in Johor, she is unable to help me! Pricing is reasonable and she can do according to our budget :)

3) jodelibakery.netfirms.com
Introduced by Per Shuen, I gave Jo a call. Too bad, her schedule for December 2008 - FULL!

4) http://bigboysoven.blogspot.com/
Read 'em and you will luv 'em! Pricing similar to Choffles, I think they add more "personal" touch to each wedding cake they design. I didn't opt for them...simply because...I forgotten about these boys! Yeah...it was, again, a last minute decision that I had to made...and at that time, I only have Choffles in my mind :P So, brides-to-be out there...I would strongly recomend these guys as Choffles tend to be more "commercialised" :P

5) http://www.blackforesttavern.com/

Professional and beautiful cakes...pricey :) Three tiers cost around RM 1,200/= But then again, if you have the budget, why not? If on budget, they can even make a two tier dummy, and one tier real cake...that also...erm...cost around RM 800/=...

So, there you go! My listing of preferred cake vendors! There are a couple more, but above are by far, the best or at least, the ones that I shortlisted :)

Can't wait to see my cake next week!! Yay!!

My DIY Wedding Card

It was past midnight and my mum is sitting next to me, waiting for me to complete the envelope. She insist that she needs to hand the wedding invitation tomorrow morning, and that, she will accept no more excuse or delays.

So, there I was, pasting the content & map to the cards, putting them in the envelope and sealing it off with the pink "Hei" nicely wrapped! I have completed all 38 pieces as per request! PHEW! Below are two versions of my DIY Wedding Card "Envelope":

Ok, let me rephrase it. Not exactly DIY Wedding Card, because, I bought the card WITHOUT envelope, and WITHOUT content! So, I had to customise it...and ta da....

GDL @ 14122008

Originally not in our wedding plan, GDL was a last minute thingy! Initially, we plan to have a really simple GDL where an angpow will be given to my mum, and she will buy whatever she needs :P

Again, originally.

As the days come closer, my mum suddenly had a change of mind. After much listening to the aunties a.k.a friends about GDL, a simple one turns into *ahem* quite a number of things to do! My bf too had a shock, but then again, I reminded him that, the most important thing is to make my mum a happy woman. We agreed on this from the beginning, whatever my mum desires, we will try our best to do it :) Afterall, she is the closest one to me!

The fateful day came, my bf and his mum arrives at 8am in the morning...*yawn*.. I was still half asleep but managed to put on a smiley face. Gosh, there were fruits, wedding biscuits, pork, chicken, etc, etc. My, my, my. Angpows and even a set of gold jewelleries. Goodness. Ok, have to keep the jewelleries as it seemed to be passed on from my future mum-in-law. *ahem* Gosh. Here's a picture of the wedding biscuit and my card:

After the exchange of gifts, where we in return, presented them back with some fruits, etc, etc including, a new pair of pants (geez) and bedsheets and stuff. Barter trade? Hehe...

After that, we went straight off for breakfast and we were sooo glad...it is DONE. Marked DONE in my list of to-dos!

Table Setting

We decided to do a mock-up at the restaurant so that my gf will know exactly what to put, and where to put it. I was told to hands-off on my wedding day, and leave it to the bridesmaid to handle it.

It was almost 4pm, there was no one at the restaurant. Err...ok, we saw a few of them sleeping. We can't find the switches and are unable to turn on the light. We decided to proceed and decorated the table in semi-darkness.

Luckily for camera phone my gf has, we managed to take some picture. Below are the changes needed:

1. Flower Pot meant for our table number needs to be changed to a much simpler version.

2. Ensure the chair cover is changed to a light champagne colour.

Outside, we are shocked to find the "Yee-Sang" cart! Tony is unable to move this cart as it is quite a big one. Geez...will have to think of something!

JPN.KC02

I finally collected the Marriage Registration form! Yay! Finally! We will fill it up tomorrow, paste our photos, and submit it the next day! After that, we have to wait for 21 days, before we can finally SIGN, SEAL and KISS our Singlehood away!

There are only 32 days left to our Wedding Dinner. Can we make it on time to ROM before this date? Haha..I don't think so! Perhaps, we will ROM AFTER the AD. Feb 14th is a good date! Sweet and romantic! Or...13th Nov 2009....or 9th Sept 2009...*chuckle*

Have to sit down and ask my sweetie. :P

I personally don't see any reasons or problem to ROM after the AD. As long as we ROM. As long as we sign the papers. :)

And oops, I can't help but bought a REAL wedding band! REAL because this time, both are identical :) Will use this for as our ROM rings (although we are already wearing them now)..

Hate 'em, Love 'em

When I first saw a pair of Crocs, I told myself.."What an ugly pair! How could any sane person have designed this? Phua Choo Kang must have a role in this! It looks so much like his yellow boot design! Yuck, yuck and yuck!

That was quite sometime ago.

Yesterday, mum was telling me about a pair of Crocs her friend showed her. She tried it on, and it was very very comfortable. Wow...nowadays, aunties are so up-to-date. Since I am on leave today, I decided to take her to IKANO and shop for a pair of Crocs. She asked me to get a pair too, but I told her "Nah, I don't wanna look like some sort of construction site worker!"

Shoes and women. Women and shoes. We just have to try it. Whether you like it or not, since you're there, just try one. And viola! Dislike turns to Like. Hate turns to Love. A friend once told me, NEVER EVER say you hated something, cuz, in the end, you will highly probably luv it!

Ok, I bought a pair for myself. Well..I have no slippers now. Didn't manage to try on a pair, as my toe was still in a bandage. But even on one foot, it looked cute! Hehe!

So, here's my pair of Crocs. And mum looked cool in one too!!

Darah Manis

According to my Malay colleagues, brides-to-be are believed to have "darah-manis"...aka "sweet-blood" (direct translation!). It is the time where brides-to-be are prone to small/little "accidents" that will cause small injuries. Royal brides-to-be will be required to stay at home or confined within one's home, not allowed to go out at all! Wahhhh....

Last Friday, while on the way to work..I stopped at a nearby shop and slipped! My poor toe was severely in pain, with scratches on my leg. Ouch! I quickly visited a Dr Suresh, whom gave me a painful jab on my little toe, and snipping away some flesh and nails. OMG! Now my toe looks so ugly :(. He finishes it with a nice bandage around my toe! I was given an MC to rest at home as I will experience severe pain after the anasthetic is gone...Geee...

Today, barely 5 days after the incident..and my toe was about to heal...I went to the bank, it was raining and it was slippery...and I FELL! Can you believe this? I FELL. POKAI. Seriously POKAI. This time, I hurt my back..bruises all over. :(

Not wanting to believe in "Darah Manis" story, I blame in on my slipper. On both unfortunate occasion, I was wearing the same darn slipper. This slipper was purchased from a Manicure shop. Bye Bye Slipper!

Trial Makeup

Her name: Ms Cathy, a freelance MUA. I stumbled upon her at a bride's forum, where she advertised her services at http://www.simplychic.com.my/

The one thing I really do like about her is that she is a very responsible lady, and does follow up promptly. That's why I decided to give her a try. PLUS, her package price is reasonable :)

We met at 3pm, she came into my house with 3-4 bags. I requested a trial WITH hairdo. If I decided not to engage her, I will need to pay her RM 50/=. The trial lasted for more than 3 hours. It is considered LONG hours for a bridal makeup. It could be due to her lack of experience? Or, perhaps, some of her tools were missing? (since she admitted accidentally leaving one bag out for this trip) Whatever it is, it took 3++ hours!

I luv the makeup. So did my mum, sis and a girlfriend whom was there. I luv the hair, cuz from front, it is how I wanted it to be. However, all of them commented that my hair is "too" messy (i requested for messy look) and that, Cathy's skill in hair wasn't too good. Hmmm.

This MUA puts in so much effort, I can tell. After the whole thing, she apologises to me as she feels that she didn't do a good job...cuz, her tools were not with her. Hmm. Nice gal. And she even refuse to take RM 50 from me, instead, she insist that I do another trial with her. And this time, she will make sure she does not leave out ANY bags!

At night, I asked my bf of the style. Indeed, he luvs it - the makeup - it was very natural. He also commented on my messy hair :P Cathy sms me later that night, and apologise and ask to for a change to arrange for another trial.

Hmm. She is a nice gal. I like her. :) She uses MAC, Bobbi Brown, etc - good stuffs! Compared to my bridal studio MUA whom uses XXX brands...from China, I think? :P

So, decided. Will get her as my MUA for the day! I called her, and informed her the good news...we have both agreed to take a break from our busy schedule to do the HAIR one day :)

SMILE! *click*

From 930am to 8pm...that was the number of hours spent on our wedding photo-shoot. Actually, 6pm to 8pm weas stuck in horrendous traffic jam along LDP!

Kudos to my bf on his patience during this photo-shoot. Really, I think the guys deserve a standing ovation for going thru such gruelling session with the bride! Well, my bf at least :) The instructions from the PS, the make-up on his face, coloured hair, new hairstyle...and not to mention, the costume he had to wear :P

The morning started with thick makeup on my face, false eyelashes, false hair and even false nails. Hmm. A glance at the mirror reminds me of my mum! Geez! My MUA, Penny was quick and quite good at her skills..and she helped me with my gowns. As I did not wear any silicon bra (huh? nvr heard of it) - she had to put her hands to scoop up my breasts so that it is in the right position of the gown. Wahh....thank god she did it like a pro! Originally, we did not want any traditional costume...but gave in to the Japanese style in the end. And my, he looked so handsome in the Japanese costume...while, I...ermm...look more like a mamasan :P

PS kept asking me to smile and show my teeth. At one point, I really thought I am shooting a toothpaste advert! "1, 2....smile, smile arr....see ur teeth...more teeth arr..." Aiyoyo...

Nevertheless, we both enjoyed the session despite the long hours. It is tiring, but indeed a good experience. How would the picture looks like? Well...will wait for it this coming Thursday! And no, we have agreed NOT to add any pictures. * Finger crossed * ... (err..I hope I can tahan..)

Our Wedding Band

Honestly, I have no idea what a WEDDING BAND is, previously. Okay, at least I know it is NOT a Band - as in like Bon Jovi, Def Leppard type of band. It is a pair of rings. Yeah, a PAIR. And it does puzzled me further. I already have a bling bling ring from my bf, why do I need ANOTHER ring? Which finger should I put it in?

Wedding ring vs wedding band. Wah...I think these are pure marketing gimmicks. It is the jewellery shops trying make more $$ by trying to differentiate the two. In the end, I got an answer: "Well...wedding band is for everyday wear, it is more casual and simple. As for wedding ring, it is normally of "bling bling" type and not suitable to wear all day long." Hmm. That was what I heard from the wise one.

Ok, so both of us have decided to get ourselves a wedding band. Well...at least, we need it for our photoshoot. And perhaps, can use it for exchange of rings during our ROM. Ok, serve few purpose.

We decided not to splurge on the wedding band. Instead, will get an economical, ok type of ring la. And since we can't really get a PAIR that both of us liked...we paired it ourselves. One is from Poh Kong, another one from Love Diamond. Ta da....

My version

La la la la....this is my masterpiece! No need to get from IKEA! All from SSF :)

Excellento!! And although I bought a glue gun, I think using double sided tape is much easier! According to SSF sales lady, the candle can last up to max 4 hours. Wahh....of course, have to test it out la. Must also make sure the ribbon and butterfly (esp butterfly) would not be on fire!

Romantic Candles Deco

As advised by the florist, I went bridey shopping at IKEA. I was dissapointed that the red coloured tealight candles were sold-out; and the cheapest candle holder cost me about RM 1.90 and it wasn't very pretty. Never mind, bought some as samples to try out at home.

Look at this ad in the papers. It matches my theme perfectly!

But if I can't get the red tealight candles, I have to do with whites. And hmm..it won't be pretty. My girlfriend suggested that I do a little "brush" on the glass with a red. Ok, will try it out with my glass painting tools!

*Ahem* I think I left the glass at her house :P

Let's look at the costings...RM 1.90 (glass) + RM 0.43 (candle) = RM 2.33 per set. I need 3 sets per table, and there are 20 tables! At this very moment, I am thankful for the number of tables I have :P
Although, I have to really filter my guests, but it makes planning and spending much easier cuz there aren't too MANY tables to do. :)

Favor Box

After rounds of shopping, internet surfing, sleepless nights...I finally DECIDED on my wedding favor box. Originally wanted to DIY, but worked out the cost to be so much more than buying off the shelves. The first intention was to present something that guests will keep...ah but then....it is so difficult to please all the guests. There are men, women, kids. Young ones, old ones.

So, no more um-ahh...I bought the box from SSF. And then, bought the ribbon. And voila. Cute little box is being done up! And it cost me, a little less than RM 0.70 each! Ta da......

Tea Ceremony

This is the only tradition that I somehow would insist to be done. The Tea Ceremony. It is when you officially introduce your other half to the entire family members. The Ah-Yees, Khau-Foos, etc, etc. Not only those that are elder, but younger ones as well. Shaking hands to "officially" introduce your other half. No more unofficial title of "Gor Gor" or "Jeh jeh" or whatever.

No matter how I adore the tea ceremony, I always find it a little too *ahem* "un"-hygienic. You see, almost everyone drinks from the same tea cup. Yes, it is washed, but darn, in that small little bowl? Some hardly even change the water :P Imagine those lips that smacked on to the little cup. Eww.

Ok, no sweat. I am not the one drinking it. Close one eye lah.

Then one day, while doing a little bridey shopping, this was what I found:-

I grabbed one packet, consisting 50 small little red "Hei" cups! And cost only RM 4.80! Wahh..cheap! As I mentioned to mum, she too agrees that we serve using paper cups...except of course, the one to my MUM :)
Haa...yeah...the one to her must be the special one! No paper cups for her!!

And I bet, the rest of my uncles and aunties would be glad! They have long joked about these cups having being "recycled" and how, each time, they would just "pretend" to "drink" the tea! Well..at my wedding, they can finish the whole cup!

Roses & Eustomia

Pink & Red. This will be my theme colour, finally. Weng Hoa Flower Boutique is located at Chinatown aka Petaling Street, and is one of the top wholesalers in Malaysia specializing in fresh flowers and accessories. I have ordered my flowers with them, and although I can't see any designs yet - I am putting my trust on this lady whom says she will kao tim for me. Of course, she showed me some samples from her bridal collections, but she can't exactly tell me the exact design...yet.

So, I have ordered:
1) 6 flower stand + candles
2) 1 flower arrangement for VIP table + candles
3) 1 flower arrangement for reception
4) 10 wrist corsages

So little, and yet, already cost me RM 1,210/=. Wahliao eh. Lady asked me to forgo arrangement at guest table as it will cost me at least RM30 per table. *Ahem* This means additional RM600/=. Instead, she asked me to buy from IKEA 3 tealight candles, and sprinkle rose petals on the table. As the restaurant already provided an arch (although it is artificial flower), I get to save some $$ there.

Hopefully, it will turn out nice. Cross my fingers :)

The ONE

Yes! The ONE!

It cost me an additional RM700/= but it is worth every single cent for the ONE. It was quoted at RM1,200/= initially and managed to bargain until RM700/=. The ONE. It is a MUST have. It is a ONCE in a LIFETIME thingy. The ONE.

It was a Sunday morning, and I arrived at GTC to have one last fitting of a wedding gown that I dreamt almost every night after I signed up with De Casamia. It is a crucial decision making for me as I already have a wedding gown from De Casamia. "Don't waste your $$ lah" - my girlfriend told me. I decided to bring my mum along this time, as only she will tell me the whole truth and nothing but the truth.

Looked for Ms May, my SA and she quickly took The ONE and put it on me. And my mum initial reaction was...."AIYO, NOT NICE LAH". I was like.."Hah?" Mum continued, "The gown is nice, but it doesn't look nice on you. Look *** lah." That's it. I have decided...no more the ONE. It is not as nice as it appears to be in my dream. Yeah, dream :P

However, dearest SA refused to give up this sale...instead, brought us down to the so-called "Designer Gowns" located at the bottom of the shop. A secret pathway. And my oh my, the gowns are AWESOME!!! And immediately, I fell in love with The ONE. A new one. Hehe.

Now, why do I call it The ONE? Well, it is simple. When I put on this gown, I somehow have this magical feeling that I am finally, THE BRIDE. I feel really "bridey". Hehe. Can't explain. I don't feel it with the numerous gown that I have tried before this, not even the one that I confirmed at Casamia. But this one, this is The ONE. (although it is the 2nd The One laa). And most importantly, my mum said "Ok, you MUST have this!" Yipppeeee!!!

Ms May can see the excitement on my face, and she knew, she will close a sale today!

De Casamia

OMG! I actually signed up a Bridal Package! OMG x 2! Here's the link: http://www.de-casamia.com/

Before this, I was 101% adamant that I would only rent gowns and not take up any package as I REALLY don't feel like taking photos. Especially those that you need to wear silly clothes and pretend that you are someone whom you are not! Haha...

But when someone helped you to put on a gown, and ask you to stand on a platform looking at the big mirror in front of you...for one moment, you do feel like a princess. Hah..in fact, I feel as though I am the Cinderella in those fairy tale movie!

Ok, back to reality. I have to tone up my arms. Shed lotz of weight and wear really high heels. All in 2 month's time. Perhaps a little too ambitious here...but what the heck. No harm trying geh...kekeke.

The package I signed up costs RM 3,688/=. I hope it is nett. I already told myself, I am NOT going to add anymore photos cuz, it will just end up in the photo album. So, I have to constantly remind myself of this. Never fall into the trap! I decided on this package because of the beautiful designed photo album which was shown to me. Instead of those regular full page photo, they compile few photos together and give it a superb effect! Luv it.

And oh...the prince and princess live happily ever after....

The Hunt Begins..

Hunting for Wedding Gown that is...people around me is freaking me out. Everyone is telling me just how little time I have. Errm... 2 months ++ .... still lots of time to me :P

Anyway! My girlfriend pushed me to go hunting for gowns. And that is what I did today! From the bridal forum, I got to know that custom made gowns are quite affordable too! So, made up my mind to check out this shop (http://www.neuweddinggown.com/). It was located in PJ, same row with RHB Bank in SS2.

The gown selection was so so limited! And they have even more limited selection for my size :P I was totally disappointed! The lady (only lady, could be the owner) gave me a CD which has 1,001 designs for me to choose. She said, they can tailormade the wedding gown for me. Price range from RM600 to RM 1,000. Quite reasonable..but too bad, no trial!

Next, we headed to JUST WARDROBE located in Damansara Uptown. Again, limited choices and size! I gave them my number and they will call once they have stocks! Aiihhh....imagine...this bride has no gown!

My girlfriend didn't give up, she suggested instead of buying the gown, perhaps we should rent from bridal houses. Without hesitation, we headed straight to Jalan Ipoh. It started to rain. Our criteria now will be those big bridal houses, as they should have more choices. First stop, Taipei Taipan. What a name :P When we stepped into this bridal house, we were impressed. It is beautiful and professionally designed. Spacious. And yay, they have gowns MY size.

The SA lead us to this special room and I tried on many gowns. Many. The SA was so patience, and I really appreciate her effort. I finally settled for 1 WG and 1 EG and we sat down to negotiate for the price. And voila, RM 1,000 for 1 WG, 1 EG and 1 coat for my hubby. Of course the SA tried to sell me some package which includes photography, etc for only RM 1,988 (most basic)...and she was cool when I told her that I need to discuss with my hubby. :) I was so happy that finally, there is a gown that fits me.

My girlfriend, who was pregnant, suggest that we go for more bridal studio and check them out. The 2nd studio, it has 3 floors. Wow! But gosh, the gowns were so old fashion!! And the SA was soooo unprofessional. The gowns she picked was so ugly! Yucks. Reluctantly, I tried them on, and my girlfriend was like "Yucks!". So, I told the SA that it wasn't suitable...err...thank you for your time..but she insist....she said, "Let me bring you to our Designer Gown Area". Well..ok. And...OMG, it was equally ugly. :P So, I put back my clothes, thank her for assistance, and this girl...while in the lift, asked me.."Let me introduce to you our packages laa, maybe you will be interested!" I was like...."Huh?" Puzzled. I have to tell her straight that, "I think you don't need to waste your time, because I don't even like the gowns!" I tell her nicely of course. And off we go!

Time flies! 5 hours gone...next GTC Bridal. My girlfriend told me it has been there for 10 years! Wahh...ok. One of the horror stories I heard of bridal houses is that, they exist for few years and they will close due to bad reputation, and then start a new one. Same boss. Sometimes, same location, just different name! This bridal house is not really big, but seems to have many gowns. One SA attended to us, she looks very experience. She asked us to wait upstairs and she will bring the gowns for me to try on.

Oops, the gown looks familiar! It was the SAME WG that I picked from the 1st bridal. And the EG, I saw the same one too. And I think, lights has a lot of effect. Cuz,the 2nd time I try on the same WG, it wasn't as nice! Hmmm.

So, again, I tried on at least about 10 pcs...and finally, there was this ONE piece that I fell in love with! Yay! Too bad they don't allow to take pictures...it was a new gown, it glitters, and have a long beautiful trail behind. And the new EG, looks good too :) And the price, also down to RM 1,000/=. Yippee Yay! But women, being women...we refuse to sign a confirmation, with the same old reason...I need to consult dearest hubby! And the SA was very polite :) Nice service!

We call it a day....I have made up my mind, based on today's experience, I will sign up with GTC!

Our ROM

13th Nov was our preferred date. This was the day we "officially" hold hands to become BF & GF. It was so many years back, but the memories are still fresh inside us. Sweet :)

Too bad it was a Thursday. JPN Putrajaya doesn't conduct ROM on this day! Hmm. How about "Thean Thou Temple?" Well, I went there previously and it was so crowded and crammed :( Then, I heard of "ROM outside"....huh? Outside? Apparently, you can hire a ROM officer to your own venue! Wow! This is something new! Pay about RM500 and you can ROM at your own venue! Wow!

This is my plan...perhaps I can ROM on AD itself! It would be so meaningful! I can wear my wedding gown and ROM! Photos taken with everyone around me :)

Then, I thought about uncle, my FH dad. He would have difficulties to climb up the stairs to our little apartment IF we were to ROM at our home. It might also be too crammed cuz there would be lots of people! Hmmm.

So, maybe it wasn't a good idea after all. My FH wants his dad to witness our ROM. Hmm...

Ok laaa...decided to go to Putrajaya. Now, have to fix a date and submit the form.

Next week, must do it! No more delay!

Can I DIY this?

Luv this! My mission tomorrow is to go to SSF and get something similar! I MUST have this! Mmmmm!!!! Need 22 sets! Budget..budget :) Pink & Champagne Colour...niceee!

MUAs

Learnt quite a number of new acronym ever since I joined d bride's forum. ROM, AD, BS, PG, etc, etc and MUA. Huh? MUA? "M"ake "U"p "A"rtist. Heee...yeah!
I started my search for MUAs. Got lots of referrals from the bridal forum. Price ranges from RM 400 to Thousands depending of your requirement. Trial costs RM50, FOC if you signed up with them. What qualifies a good MUA? Hmmm. One thing for sure, the MUA whom does the trial makeup HAS to be the same MUA on the actual day!

What look would I want? Nothing fancy. Not too plain. Not too natural, otherwise, why pay for a MUA? But then again, not too cakey...am not an opera star!

Below are some MUAs that contacted me. Who to choose? How many trials should I go for?
1) Meoki Tong (meoki_academy@yahoo.com)
2) Jessica Ma (jessica1423@gmail.com)
3) Rosanna_tcy (rosanna.mua@gmail.com)

4) Ann Ong (anong0609@hotmail.com)

One of the risk of having a free-lance MUA is the reliability. Geez, can you imagine if they fail to turn up on the Wedding Day?

Freakin' Out, Baby

I just attended my cousin's wedding. And my..oh my...I can't help but freaked out! The "Let It Be" tune seems to fade away...and so is the "Don't Worry, Be Happy" tune too...

WHAT? Me, freaking out?

Errm...well, ROM dates not confirmed, No Gown yet, No MUA yet, No Caterers yet, Canopy None,
Florists who? Cards incomplete, favors lost in space....YIKEEESS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And, my wedding is scheduled on DECEMBER! 2008! 2 months? 3 months? YIKEEEESSSS x 2!!

My DIY Wrist Corsage

Ok, I admit. I might NOT be THAT good at DIY after all. Need to add in some organzas. Hmm?

What? RM8 a piece? Wow, I just got a quote from a florist charging me only RM8 each. If it's true, I can kiss this DIY Wrist Corsages goodbye! Wonder if it can be something similar like this...

The reason why I am not getting my jee-muis to do this is because, I think, this should be a personal gift from me to them, as my dearest bridesmaid. And oh yes, I will not make you wear an ugly wrist corsage, I promise :)

Map to Restaurant

Phew! Finally, I managed to draw the map to our Wedding Restaurant using MS Excel. The one provided by the restaurant itself is too brief! I tried googling for maps to this place but there wasn't any maps pointing to this restaurant. The nearest I could get is those pointing to Wisma Fiamma!

As I am DIYing my Wedding Card, I planned to put this map inside my wedding card.

Of course, before I put it in...will try to drive this route to ensure that it is absolutely, error-free map!

Zzzz...time to sleeep....finally! Yikes! 2am liao....time flies..................

Message Cards DIY

One of my DIY projects are message cards. When guests arrive for the dinner, they will be handed a card and are encouraged to write their wishes/blessings for the newly weds.

My design is pretty simple here, I am just using colours & fonts to my advantage. Initially, I plan to have few designs to use, but one of my friend commented it might end up looking err..."rojak"? Nevermind I thought, will keep on designing it until the final countdown...Haha, no sweat!

When I told my dearest mum of my intention, her immediate response was.."Aiyaa...wasting time on small things AGAIN!"...Although, she said that the cards looks "nice" - she also told me not to expect her friends to write any messages. "You know lah, uncle, aunties - would not entertain/do these type of things one lah.."

Of course I don't expect EVERYONE to write on the cards. But I am sure those close and "younger" ones would not hesitate to write a small message :) After the wedding, I plan to use these cards in my Wedding Scrapbook for memories!

The only problem now is to find a some nice branches to hang these cards at the entrance of the restaurant. Oops, not problem...but challenge! Yah! Challenge to find the right branch, with the right height and the right curves.

So! The Wedding Wishes Tree project will continue!

Lunch Box wif Love

I opened the fridge and noticed that the Parmesan cheese I bought it expiring 4th of Sept 2008. And well...today is 4th Sept 2008. If I don't use it now, it is going to waste. Hence, I took out a can of Prego Carbonara Mushroom sauce, spaghetti and headed to the kitchen! And the time is...10pm!

Added lotz of garlic and cheese into the sauce, cooked to yummy perfection! Drained out the ala-dente spaghetti (thanks to internet, I managed to cook it right!) and finally, added in some sausages (my bf fav) and some prawns (my fav). By the time I finished, it was well, already 1115pm and they say, cooking spaghetti is a breeze! Ask me about it! I packed it up into nice little lunch box here for my bf, well, he can either eat it during lunch; or if he is shy (which I would ustand) - he can then eat it as breakfast before work in the morning! Here how it look like:

YUMMY!! Taste perfect and although I am supposed to be on a strict diet...well..what the heck! Hahaha! I packed one box for my own lunch tomorrow! My tired bf was asleep on the sofa while waiting for me...clutching the little lunchbox tightly.... :)

Red Wine? Anyone?

I asked my mum whether any Red Wines are to be served during our wedding dinner. She said, "Of course dear, you know how expensive it is if we were to serve hard liquor?" Costs aside, I wouldn't want my guests to be madly drunk and embarass themselves in front of hundreds of people! So, yeah, no hard liquor please!

Stumbled upon this issue on d bride's forum, and this is really funny:-

"too expensive wine are useless, guests - who mainly not a wine connoisseur do not know how to appreciate wine. n i doubt the banquet manager will have those wide-rimmed wine glass to let the wine to be appreciated properly. they will just gulped the wine down their throat and do not even know wat is the meaning of 'after taste'.better get something cheaper with moderate quality to be served during dinner. if guests dunno how to appreciate n leave half-empty glasses all around, we won't feel so heart pain.

"Besides the above-mentioned, sometimes guests just keep drinking & drinking for the sake of making their 'angpow' worth it. There goes all the expensive wines."

LOL!! As for me, my main concern is not the wine...it is this butterfly placecard that i DIYed, it has to sit on a wine glass...so, now that we are serving wine, I will get this project rolling!! The guest name will be printed on the wing...niceeee...

That's me! I am always good in planning the "other" things, and not the "main" thing! If anyone of you needs the above template, do visit Martha Stewart's website :)

Don't worry, be Happy!

Have you decided on your ROM date yet? Your MUA (make-up-artist)? Your BS (bridal-studio)? Catering buffet? Wedding Invites? Etc etc....and hey! There is only less than 4 months now....

The answer is Nope, errr..no....erm...noope....and errr...nahh...

While everyone around me seems to be darn worried...except ME! Haha...I guess, deep inside, I know everthing will be alright in the end. No worries :) Let it be....let it be, let it, let it be....whisper words of wisdom, let it be....can't belive I am humming this tune while typing this!!

Anyway, let's look at the brighter side of things - I have these things DONE at least:
1) JUST MARRIED car plate
2) Dinner Restaurant booked
3) Wedding shoe
4) Wedding Card design
5) Photographer for event and dinner booked

6) Wedding Car deco confirmed
7) Guest Lists compiled

What's next? Hmm..wedding favors!!!

Let it be, let it be, let it be..let it be....

The Butterfly Lovers? Huh?

Exactly. That was my reaction.

Inspiration doesn't come as and when you want it to. You may work on it for hours, but nothing is produced. Zero. Nil. Blank.

Then, something came up. I woudn't say it is 100% original, but I could say it is 99% lah. I finally created a pair of butterflies for my Wedding Card. Okay, not exactly create, but did a lot of surfing on google, and finally, decided to merge this two butterfly designs with some love flowing between. It may seems simple, but hey, lots of work are done here.

When I finally showed it to my mum, her first impression was BUTTERFLY? A PAIR OF BUTTERFLIES? She then, briefly told me about this Chinese story....err..they call it "The Legend of the Butterfly Lovers". OMG. After googling..OMG. The Butterfly Lovers or Liang Zhu is a Chinese Legend about the tragic romance between two lovers, Liang Shanbo and Zhu Yingtai, from whom the name of the legend is known in Chinese
(梁山伯與祝英台, pinyin: Liáng Shānbó yǔ Zhù Yīngtái, often abbreviated as "梁祝", Liáng-Zhù). The legend is sometimes regarded as the Chinese equivalent to Romeo and Juliet.

OMG. Did they mention TRAGIC? Romeo & Juliet?

That's it. Mum asked me to scrap off the Butterfly idea. "How about those cute little butterflies I bought for crafts? And those for the venue deco?" Luckily, she just forbids me from using it in my wedding cards. Phew! There goes my little design...

Memory Lane

I had a meeting discussion with a client in town, and I parked my car in KLCC. After the meeting, I decided to head back to office quickly, since there are tonnes of work to complete.

As I was walking towards the escalator, I passed by the Memory Lane shop. And how can I not notice the sign "SALE". What the heck, since I am there, might as well check out the store. Who knows, I might be able to grab some good stuffs...especially, DIYs stuff.

And, this sign "50% OFF" certainly caught my eye! And this is what I got:-

What am I gonna do with it? No idea, but it is so darn cheap (even if it is not on sale, this is CHEAP) that I would not forgive myself! Well, I can put my earrings or necklace, or whatever! It's a MUST have! Haha....guess how much it is....

It only cost me RM 7.95!! (after discount, of course)

Bamboo Fun

EDIT.PAINT. DRAW. WRITE. SIMPLIFY.

I was overly excited when I bought this item. I can put all my imagination into the computer. I can draw graphics! I can do animation! I can do....SO MUCH!! YEAHHHHHH.....

Well...at least, that was what I thought! But *toot*, this thing is just a tool...I need to master the software! Corel or Photoshop...one of the most complicated software I have ever came across...I mean, these crazy graphics softwares with layers, brushes, strokes....goodness!

Thank god there is one function called "tracing". It allows me to "trace" whatever graphics I wanted, and change it's colour and even, re-design it a little. Wow.

Well, I am trying to DIY my own multimedia cartoon. I HOPE. Haha...the company in SG is charging so much to do a short cartoon, and since I always have this passion for animation and toons, I will take this opportunity to TRY and do something!

What? Have I started? Can I do it on TIME? Heeeeeeeeeeeee......what do you think? :P

Wedding DIY

There are many reasons why brides choses DIYs. From wedding favours to invites, to decor...to everything you can ever imagine. Apart from budget friendly, DIYs offers the "personal" touch and endless creativity!

I have planned many DIYs for my own wedding. So many until my jee-muis and almost everyone I know started to worry about! "You haven't started?", "No Idea Yet?", "Do you have enuff time?", "Have you planned who does what?"....Hah...everyone around me seems to be worried! As for me, no sweat! If not enough time, there's always Plan B....that is...BUY! :P

Well..my target is to complete the wedding invites by end of this month, as well as the bridesmaid wrist corsage. I have already bought the items, just need to put the ideas together and then post it online, and ask for opinions! The best will be selected :)

For the wrist corsage, I bought these beautiful roses from SSF...will pair it with some smaller flowers, etc, etc...once I have the whole thing done up, will post it up!

Butterfly Origami

Butterfly IS my wedding theme. It is either Lavender or Pink. Hmmm. Cant decide yet.

I stumbled upon this amazing video on how to make a butterfly origami. It is step by step instruction, very clear and precise. Have I tried it? Well..I watched it many times...but no, have not tried yet. I have decided to post the link here, so that those interested, can watch and learn how to do it. Ahem, especially to those dearest jee-muis reading this blog! Hehe...this could be one of the very first task to be assigned. It can be used to decorate the venue, or used as an add-on to my wedding invites...or, favours...or, whatever! :)

There are many types of butterfly origami, from simple ones to really complicated ones! As for me, as long as the shape of the butterfly is there, I am one happy Bride :D

Estee Lauder Staff Sale 2008

STAFF SALE. ADMIT ONE. NO INVITATION CARD, NO ADMITTANCE. Blah, blah blah.

And I thought this is something exclusive. I thought, it is one of a kind invitation meant for staff. Saturday, 19th July 2008. 8am.

Reached the place around 815am with my sister and was at loss of words to witness the crowd. It started spiralling from INSIDE the Ballroom, through the spiral staircase, out to the entrance and continued all the way up to other Hotel entrance! We quickly parked our car and tried to catch up with the queue. I could only guess, there is at least 500 people ahead of us in the queue. We started chatting with those in the queue, and NONE of them are Estee Lauder staff. NONE. They got their invites just like us, from some friends. Young girls, aunties even guys! After 15 minutes, we made up our mind to leave the crazy place. Not worth our time, seriously. By the time we get in, most items would probably be snapped up already!

We left the queue and headed back to the lift. And then, we got LUCKY! Nope, we didn't cut Q. Never our style to cut Qs. It was pure luck. We just happened to be at the right place, right time.

As we were walking past, suddenly, the security guard ushered us IN!! He must've thought that we were one of those early birds?! Hmm...but anyway, we were ushered in together with a few other malay girls. And, Wow! My sis and I are IN!!!!! We can't believe our luck! We grinned, quickly took a bag and headed over to the sales area.

It is CHEAP! MAC eye shadow selling at RM50 for a pack three (3) colours!! Normal price is at RM57 each but of course, it is pre-packed, so, they will normally mix it with not-so-nice colours. Bought all these items below at RM220 only (normal @ RM608)...

Whatz the catch? I would think some of these items might come from discontinued range, certainly hope that it is not expired goods! **hope** Ohh, bought some Booster Masks too :P

Now, let me practice my own makeup as I planned to DIY for my ROM day!

I Luv Traffic Jam!!

Thinking back about the traffic jam I had today, never fails to put a smile on my face. Yes! I luv traffic jam! Especially the one along Jalan Pinang, at approximately 5:30pm. The jam was so horrible that I move only an inch for every 10 minutes! Yacking on the hp with a girlfriend of mine until my batt went dead..and still, I have gone nowhere, seems like being at the same spot for ages!

And then...suddenly...OMG.............*gasp*.........

I wanna peeee!! Yes! I need to pee! I quickly took a right turn and headed to KLCC! PHEW!! :)

As the traffic was so bad, I decided to do a little shopping at the mall and finally, I found my wedding shoes!! Yay!!! Studded with Swarovski diamond, not too strappy and not-so-high heeled...perfect! :)

And what made it even better is that July is the month of MEGASALE in Malaysia! This pair of shoe was retailing at a whopping RM499 and I got it at a real bargain that I couldn't believe myself!! And oh, Nine West is having a crazy sales too! How many pair of shoes does a woman really need? My guess is...INFINITY!

Nexxt.....pedicure, please!!

.
